  • OUTSTANDING EVENTS IN 2024 AND TASKS IN 2025

    In 2024, the crew supply market continues to face many difficulties and challenges in terms of high-quality human resources along with increasingly stringent requirements of ship owners in the post-Covid era.

    However, the staff and seafarers SCCM have continuously strived, strived and exceeded the production and business targets in 2024.

    Below are the outstanding events that contributed to the development of SCCM Company in the past year 2024:

    ORGANIZING A MEETING OF SQTV FAMILIES IN THE SPRING OF THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON:
    In January 2024, SCCM Company organized a meeting of SQTV families working on the fleets. The meeting took place in the North and South regions, and was an annual event for SCCM and its partner ship owners to express their gratitude to SQTV brothers who temporarily put aside their joy with their loved ones during the Spring of Giap Thin to work hard on ships in distant oceans.

     

    2. RECEIVING THE LIMONE FROM FIRST MARINE SERVICE (FMS): In February 2024, receiving the Limone from partner First Marine Service (FMS). The Limone with a capacity of 11,700 DWT was newly built in 2024. This is the first ship that SCCM Company receives in 2024 from Japanese partner First Marine Service (FMS), marking a long-term cooperation and many prospects in the new year.

    3. 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF SCC SEAFARMER SUPPLY COMPANY LIMITED (SCCM):
    March 17, 2024, SCC Seafarer Supply Company Limited (SCCM) held the 30th Anniversary Ceremony of March 17, 1994 ~ March 17, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City. The ceremony was attended by all employees, seafarers' under the company, and domestic and foreign ship owners. At the ceremony, the Board of Directors expressed gratitude to the ship owners and generations of employees, SQTVs through the periods for SCCM Company to have today.

    4. VISIT AND WORK WITH EVERGREEN PARTNER IN TAIWAN:

    In May 2024, SCCM's delegation spent 3 days working with partners at Evergreen Group Headquarters in Taiwan to continue expanding the supply of crew members for the group in the coming time. SCCM is committed to continuing to expand the recruitment and supply of high-quality crew members for partners, and will gradually increase the number to become an important partner of Evergreen in Vietnam.

    5. RECEIVING THE APOLLO KITA FROM FIRST MARINE SERVICE (FMS):
    On July 21, 2024, 19 crew members of SCC Crew Supply Co., Ltd. (SCCM) received the Apollo Kita at Sanwa Dockyard, Hiroshima, Japan. The Apollo Kita has a capacity of 12,300 DWT and was built in 2011. This is the second ship that SCCM Company received in 2024 and the 14th ship of the Japanese partner operated by all SCCM crew members. The continued delivery of the ship demonstrates the trust of First Marine Service (FMS) in SCCM in providing quality crew members to this long-standing Japanese partner.

    7. VISIT AND WORK WITH PARTNERS IN JAPAN:
    In early October 2024, the delegation of Vitranschart and SCCM visited and worked with Japanese ship owners and ship managers who have SCCM crew members working. The event is a bridge between Vitranschart/SCCM and Japanese partners for the parties to meet and discuss crew supply activities; as well as seek new cooperation and investment opportunities.

    8. RECEIVING APOLLO BRAVE FROM FIRST MARINE SERVICE (FMS):
    In October 2024, 19 crew members of SCC Crew Supply Co., Ltd. (SCCM) received the APOLLO BRAVE at Imabari Dock-yard, Japan. The 11,000 DWT APOLLO BRAVE was built in 2024. This is the third ship that SCCM has received in 2024 and is operated by SCCM crew members. The event demonstrated the trust of First Marine Service (FMS) Partner in SCCM in providing high-quality crew members.

    9. DEPLOYING A SEMINAR ACCORDING TO THE CONTENT AND REQUIREMENTS OF JAPANESE SHIP OWNERS (FMS SEMINAR):
    On November 5-7, 2024, SCCM deployed a Seminar with the theme "Recent trends in PSC ship inspections and response measures" for the subjects of the SQQL currently in reserve. The Seminar was also attended by representatives of the ship owner Vitranschart, representatives of ClassNK Hai Phong and the participation of more than 40 SQQL, with 100% of the captains and chief engineers currently in reserve, organized in the form of offline and online at the SCCM Hai Phong Representative Office. Through the Seminar, the SQTVs supplemented and updated a lot of new knowledge useful for the management and operation of ships in the upcoming working period.

    10. SCCM STRENGTHENING THE PROMOTION OF IMAGE SEARCH FOR QUALITY RESOURCES:
    On December 4, 2024, in order to help students learn and approach the real working environment, SCCM Company organized a field trip for students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport on the VTC Ocean ship. The tour brought students many useful practical experiences, helping them better understand the work and daily life of crew members on transport ships. Thereby, students have a clearer view of the career path they have chosen.

    With the achieved results, the Board of Directors has set out key tasks to improve the quality of seafarers in 2025 as follows:

    Cooperate with colleges and universities to find human resources with good skills and foreign language skills.
    Open more courses and training courses on professional expertise and foreign languages ​​for seafarers in reserve to improve and enhance their qualifications.
    · Continue to negotiate with ship owners on welfare regimes, propose appropriate salaries and bonuses so that seafarers can work with peace of mind and commit to the company for a long time.

    In 2025, SCCM Company commits to maintaining the existing stability, while actively developing more SQTV human resources to meet all the needs of domestic and foreign partners. With the working motto "discipline - prestige - dedication - talent", SCCM Company will always strive to become the leading brand in supplying crew members in Vietnam.
