This result reflects the coordinated efforts of the shipowner, shore-based management team, and SCCM seafarers in maintaining safety, compliance, and operational standards in line with the increasing requirements of the international shipping market.

Following the assessment, HD SUN is now performing her first cargo voyage after achieving RightShip 3★, sailing from China to South America. This voyage marks an important step for the vessel as she continues to strengthen her presence in international bulk cargo transportation.

HD SUN is a bulk carrier engaged in international trading routes. With her suitable deadweight capacity for bulk cargo operations, the vessel plays an active role in connecting cargo flows between Asia and overseas markets. More importantly, her recent RightShip 3★ achievement demonstrates the practical value of continuous improvement in vessel management, crew competency, onboard safety culture, and operational readiness.

As highlighted in SCCM’s RightShip seminar materials, RightShip does not assess only a single inspection day; it evaluates the vessel’s overall operational system, including People, Process, and Plant, together with SMS implementation, PSC history, inspection findings, corrective actions, and crew performance.

SCCM believes this achievement will further encourage seafarers to enhance their safety awareness, professional discipline, and readiness for international vetting standards.
