On 18–19 June 2026, at 11B Vo Thi Sau Street, Hai Phong, SCC Crew Management Co., Ltd. organized a Seminar for seafarers in the Northern region with the participation of 33 seafarers. The program aimed to update professional knowledge, enhance awareness of safe and efficient vessel operation, and better meet current inspection requirements.

Prior to this, from 20–23 April 2026, SCCM sent a number of experienced Masters and Chief Engineers to Manila, the Philippines, to attend the annual specialized seminar organized by FMS. The key contents from the seminar were then summarized and implemented for SCCM seafarers in Hai Phong, ensuring that the training remained practical, relevant to fleet operation requirements, and aligned with the expectations of the partner.

The Seminar focused on practical topics such as Internal Audit, RightShip & Company Procedures (Revised), Bunkering Procedure, Main Engine – Proper Maintenance and Inspection, and Loading Plan & Sequence. These are important subjects directly related to vessel preparation, operation, maintenance, inspection, and overall operational efficiency.

The program set clear training objectives: helping seafarers better understand RightShip requirements, improve the Vessel Safety Score, enhance inspection performance, and reduce deficiencies related to PSC, RightShip, and inspections by shipowners, classification societies, or other relevant parties.

Notably, the Seminar was conducted under the supervision of the Japanese partner. Through observation, exchange, and assessment, the partner expressed satisfaction with the organization of the program, the training contents, and the serious participation of the seafarers.

The Seminar in Hai Phong was a practical activity demonstrating SCCM’s proactive approach to training, knowledge updating, and seafarer development. It contributed to improving the quality of human resources and supporting safer, more efficient, and more sustainable vessel operations.
